Murray Basin – Ginkgo & Snapper

Development and Technical Services Engineer- Murray Basin

• Support the Designated Projects in any way that promotes the successful completion of project milestones and project commissioning.
• Provide the technical support to the mining groups so that plant, equipment and resources are fit for purpose and available when needed.
• Practical leadership in the development of new projects particularly with respect to mining methods, dredging and concentrating functions.
• Prepare reports as requested, including the preparation of cost benefit studies, financial analyses, and make recommendations to management to optimise the exploitation of the company’s mine reserves.
• It is preferred the position be filled by a person with tertiary qualification in mining engineering and with mine planning experience in the mineral sands industry.

 Accountant

• Provide effective administration and accounting support to the Senior Finance Accountant.
• Coordinate aspects of Murray Basin and associated entities accounting and budgeting functions.
• Provide appropriate accounting services, support and relevant outcomes to the business.
• The financial auditing process for the operation.
• Position requires incumbent with a tertiary qualifications in accountancy.
• The incumbent must have had considerable exposure/experience to accounting practices and be able to manage financial control tasks to acceptable standards.
• Overall it is likely that a suitable incumbent has less than 5 years post graduate experience
• Police clearance required

Geologist

• The function of this role is to carry out and supervise field operations in the Murray Basin. The role requires interpretation, presentation and reporting of exploration results. The purpose of the position is to discover economic mineral sand resources.
• Carryout field operations involving location of drill sites and drill hole logging.
• Oversee all aspects of the technical support for drilling operations including all contractors and Bemax employees.
• Carryout routine collation and presentation of geological data using geological software.
• Fully participate in the occupational health and safety and environmental program including the safety of all field personnel.
• Position requires incumbent with a tertiary education in geology.
• Must hold a valid manual drivers license.
• Ideally the incumbent would have practical field support experience.
•  It is preferred the successful candidate reside in Mildura or surrounding areas.

Metallurgist

•     Coordinate all aspects of the technical support for Mineral Separation Plant.
• Ensure the performances of the mineral processing operations are fully integrated with the planning and actual performance of the mine site.
• Provide the technical leadership and experience required to ensure the mineral processing department’s team and service providers are clearly focused on the relevant outcomes.
• Direct the creation and maintenance of the systems that can accurately forecast and deliver operational outcomes, especially in technical support requirements.
• Foster initiatives that can improve aggregate efficiencies throughout the whole mineral processing stream, but particularly within the Mineral Separation Plant.
• Position requires incumbent with a tertiary education in mineral processing with considerable experience in the mineral sands industry.
• It is essential that the incumbent has practical field support experience in the operation of a mineral sands processing plant in this industry,       short and long term technical standards and performance in the Mineral Separation Plant.

Senior Geologist

• To collate and report information on geological resources in the Murray Basin.
• To prioritise and implement work required on the resources to ensure they are an appropriate level for resource evaluation.
• To carryout resource evaluation studies to assist with the ranking of resources.
• To support and supervise technical programs associated with project development.
• To assist with presentation and reporting of project data.
• Ensure the quality of all resources calculated on resources in the Murray Basin, by overseeing data collation and either completing or auditing resource modeling.
• Develop a geological understanding of the Murray Basin.
• Fully participate in the occupational health and safety, and environmental programmes.
• Position requires incumbent with a tertiary education in geology.
• Must have well developed computing skills in basic office and mining type software plus an ability to comprehend data presented electronically.
• It is essential that the incumbent has practical field support experience.
• Hold a valid manual drivers licence.
• Overall - it is likely that a suitable incumbent has not less than 5 years post graduate experience preferably in the mineral sand industry.
